Four hockey fans are suing a Boise, Idaho arena after discovering that a $7 "large" beer contains the same about of liquid as a $4 "small" beer.
Their attorney writes in the lawsuit, "While different shapes, both cup sizes hold substantially the same amount of liquid and are not large versus small in actual capacity...Defendants knowingly sold each of their beers in a similar manner at each event held at the arena where beer was sold for at least the last five years."
Another pair of fans shared a video on YouTube on March 9. It demonstrates the complaint.
Since that video was posted, the arena announced plans to purchase 24 ounce cups for their "large" beers instead of the 20 ounce cups they had been using. The "small" cups are listed at 16 ounces.
