U2 is joining the list of Oscar performers.  The band will take the stage at the upcoming Academy Awards ceremony to sing "Ordinary Love," their contribution to the movie Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom.

The event will also mark the group's first live performance of the track, which is in the running for Best Original Song.  The category also includes Pharrell Williams' "Happy" from the movie Despicable Me 2, and Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" from the animated hit Frozen.  They're both confirmed to perform at the event as well.  Karen O's "The Moon Song" from Her rounds out the list of nominees.

The 86th Academy Awards will be presented in a ceremony at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.  Ellen DeGeneres is slated to host the event, which will air live on ABC on March 2nd.
