The new Rolling Stones documentary, Crossfire Hurricane, is now out on DVD and Blu-ray as well as digitally, a week ahead of its announced release date.

Produced as part of the band's 50th anniversary celebration, Crossfire Hurricane, which premiered on HBO in November, highlights a series of dramatic periods in the band's career, from the riots that were common at their shows in the '60s to drug use and drug busts, the death of guitarist Brian Jones, the murder at Altamont and their relocation to France for tax reasons.

Mick Jagger said, "That's one of the story lines of the film... Like in life there are down moments in people's lives... In the film I didn't want to accentuate the down moments, but there are certainly peaks and lows."

The release features bonus footage not shown on HBO, including concert footage, Live in Germany ‘65, a new interview with director Brett Morgen, The Sound and Music of Crossfire Hurricane and the theatrical trailer.
