Rockers nominated for Billboard Touring Awards

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Bon Jovi, and The Rolling Stones are getting acknowledged for their road work.  The veteran rockers are among the nominees heading into the Billboard Touring Awards, which are taking place in New York Thursday night.

The events honor the artists, venues, and behind the scenes people involved in staging the top tours between October 1st, 2012 and September 30th of this year.

Springsteen and Bon Jovi are both in the running for Top Tour, which is based on earnings, and Top Draw, which is based on attendance.  The Stones are nominated twice for Top Boxscore, which gives a nod to the highest-grossing run of shows.  The band has bids for their two London concerts last November as well as their three-night stand in Chicago back in the spring.

Springsteen, Bon Jovi, and the Stones are also in the running for the Eventful 2013 Fans' Choice Award, along with Fleetwood Mac and Depeche Mode.  A total of 25 rock, pop, hip-hop, and country acts are vying for the fan-voted honor, including the Dave Matthews Band, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, and George Strait.  In addition, the Stones, Bon Jovi, and U2 are among the ten inaugural inductees into the Haul Of Fame, which recognizes the biggest touring acts of the past ten years.  One of the ten inductees will earn the title of Live Music Hauler Of The Decade at the ceremony.
