Prince is planning to hit the road this spring. The reclusive rocker gave a dynamic performance Friday night on NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," which Fallon introduced by saying Prince would be launching a West Coast trek in April.
Prince then demonstrated what concertgoers might if he plays any shows. His two-song set paired his most recent release, "Screwdriver," with 1979's "Bambi." He closed the performance with the vintage tune, which ended with him tossing his guitar into the air and letting it smash to the stage as he walked off.
Prince hasn't made an official tour announcement yet. According to Pollstar.com, Prince's schedule only includes three performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in July.
Rumors of a Prince tour have been circulating since January, when he was reportedly auditioning drummers for an upcoming road trip. Prince also released "Screwdriver" in January. At the time he explained that it wasn't the start of a new album, but simply a track he wanted to put out.
