Lou Reed won't be performing at Coachella as originally planned. The rocker has scrapped his appearances at the Indio, California festival next month, along with three other April shows.
No explanation has been given for the cancellations. The website for The Warfield in San Francisco, where Reed was slated to play on April 14th, says that concert has been cancelled "due to unavoidable complications," along with ticket refund information.
Reed was also scheduled to perform at the Golden State Theater in Monterey, California on April 16th and the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles on April 17th. He was expected to make two appearances at Coachella, on April 12th and 19th. Reed's name has been removed from both the lineup list and the interactive poster on the event's website.
