KISS' giant spider is making its U.S. debut.  The band is returning to America for a short run of dates starting in Gilford, New Hampshire Wednesday, which will feature their new stage set.

Back in May bassist Gene Simmons told the KISS Fan Expo in Indianapolis the design is "beyond anything" the group has done before, and called it "the most amazing thing" he's ever seen.  The rocker explained that the massive creature lays flat and rises up, and will "shoot fireballs out of its tentacles."

And that's not the only new feature to the show.  Simmons also said their set features a 70-foot video screen backdrop, and that KISS will rise up and "levitate, and go 30 rows into the audience."

KISS debuted their new set in Stockholm on June 1st.  The group followed their European run with a four-week trek through Canada that wrapped up over the weekend.  KISS will close out their summer tour with their seven U.S. dates.
