The death of the Everly Brothers' Phil Everly has sparked a sales surge of the duo's music.

Billboard.com says at the end of the sales week Sunday -- two days after Phil passed away -- Everly Brothers album purchases were up 455% over the previous week.

The 1964 hits collection The Very Best of the Everly Brothers was the best-selling album.  It's debuting on the Country Catalog Albums chart at number eight with 2,000 copies sold.

"All I Have To Do Is Dream" was the top-selling Everly Brothers single.  Its 4,000 downloads reflects a boost of 490%.  The song also accounts for roughly 22% of the Everly Brothers' 18,000 total song purchases, which is a 696% increase.
