David Bowie is getting an acting job pitched to him.  "Hannibal's" showrunner Bryan Fuller tells E! News the NBC series would like to add the rock legend to the cast.  He says they've reached out to him to "see if he's interested and available."

Fuller explains that they'd like Bowie for the role of Hannibal's uncle, Count Robert Lecter.  While the character was killed off in the Thomas Harris books the series is based on, Fuller says the show uses "a little bit of J.J. Abrams-style alternate universe storytelling where he could still be alive."

Bowie hasn't given a response yet to the offer.
