Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry are once again receiving special recognition.  Less than two weeks after their induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the rockers are being added to the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame.

Both Tyler and Perry tell "Rolling Stone" they're honored to be inductees, in part because the Hollywood Bowl such a special venue.  Perry admits it's a tough place for a rock band to play, but it sounds great.  He adds that he and Tyler are both well aware of the history of the place, which makes it great to be able to stand on that stage.

Tyler says there's an astounding list of stars who've performed at the Hollywood Bowl - including The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, and Billie Holiday - and whenever he's played there he can't help but think about the people that looked out at the same thing he's seeing.

Perry adds that they're proud to be part of the induction event because it's supporting a good cause.  Money raised through the special show is going to the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Eduction Programs.

Tyler and Perry are joining John Legend and Patti Austin as this year's inductees, while Stevie Wonder is also expected to appear.  The inductees will all perform with the L.A. Philharmonic, which is launching its new season with Saturday's event.  According to the venue's website, The Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame honors artists whose achievements embody the spirit of the Bowl, and celebrates those whose contributions to the arts have made them part of the fabric of American culture.
