Queen to Release New Music Featuring Freddie Mercury

Queen guitarist Brian May revealed the band has found some previously unreleased material featuring the late Freddie Mercury while talking to BBC Radio.

May was discussing his favorite Queen song.  He said, "My favorite at the moment is 'Made in Heaven,' which was never a single but it's the title track off the album we made after Freddie was gone with all the pieces that were left."

Then, May explains:

"I've just been doing something very similar because we found a few more tracks with Freddie singing and all of us playing and they're quite beautiful.  People will be hearing this work toward the end of the year."

The new project will "probably" be called Queen Forever.  The material mostly comes from the 1980s.  The album will be a compilation, but will include this previously unheard music.

May went on to say, "It's the big, big epic sound. It wouldn’t have been if we hadn’t have done this restoration job. We only had scraps, but knowing how it would've happened had we finished it, I can sit there and make it happen with modern technology."

Brian May was talking to BBC Radio about his new book called Diableries: Stereoscopic Adventures in Hell.  It's a book on 19th century French stereoscopic cards.

Queen is touring with Adam Lambert this summer.
